Luo, Ryan (1982) is a dynamic artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries, with his unique blend of contemporary and surreal elements. Born in Singapore, raised in Australia, Luo’s early exposure to the rich cultural heritage and modern vibrancy of his hometown profoundly influenced his artistic vision.

Having worked extensively in MedTech, Luo has been able to combine his diverse backgrounds to create a design philosophy rooted in experimentation and resourcefulness. As a keen mid modern furniture enthusiast, Luo finds inspiration from similar artists like the Campana Brothers, Jaime Hayon to Frank Slama. Luo’s ability to transform mundane objects into evocative pieces of art often characterised by geometric forms and repetition. This is coupled with a profound interplay of colour and texture that often evokes a sense of playfulness and creativity.

Currently residing between Melbourne and Berlin, Luo continues to push the boundaries with his latest series of ceramic tile art.
